Similarly, it is difficult to be certain that all of a runner's marathon starts have been accounted for. Those streaks that have been not been (more or less) confirmed are indicated by the streak length in purple.
Note: This list is restricted to runners who have achieved an ARRS qualifying standard. It is generally much more difficult to track runners who have not achieved such a standard and thus determine the validity of the win streak, i.e., not missing any losses during that period. It is difficult enough to do this with ARRS qualified runners; streaks indicated in purple are uncertain and based on the available data. Some well documented early marathoners have been included altho they did not achieve a qualifying time.
