Quality Performances

The numbers of quality performances are presented for each race series and represent another measure by which different race series can be ranked. For example, which marathon has produced the most quality performances for men, summed over all the years each event has been held? This is a close battle between the London (ENG) and Fukuoka (JPN) Marathons. The Fukuoka Marathon has been around for a long time and for a number of years was the de facto world championship. London is known for its great depth of elite fields and currently sports the men's world record. These tables provide a convenient way to examine such factors.

Quality performances are defined as those meeting the ADR qualification standards. Quality performances are presented for the following categories according to race distance. The quality performance score is the sum of the totals for each category. This provides a measure of both quantity and quality since faster performances are counted more times. Only statistically valid performances are included.
