Notes: 1978 was the inaugural year. The race was known as the U N Marathon and was held in Utrecht thru 1998 in
conjunction with a half marathon. In 1999, the marathon was dropped, leaving only the half marathon. In 2000, the
Leidsche Rijn Marathon from Vleuten to De Meern (near Utrecht) was started. In 2005, the two organizations merged
to have one event (marathon and half marathon) with the marathon known as the Utrecht Marathon and with the start
and finish in Utrecht.
