The 1990 race was not held because the Seaside Chamber of Commerce dropped its sponsorship; the 1991 and subsequent races were sponsored by the Oregon Road Runners Club. The 1993 race was postponed from its scheduled date of 20 Feb 1993 due to a snowstorm; forty runners ran unofficially with "winners" Kevin Olson in 2:58:42 and Debra Stolt-Krichko in 4:05:40. The 1998 and 1999 races were held in Warrenton OR. The race scheduled for 01 Apr 2000 was cancelled due to financial difficulties. The 1972-1978 races were held on a point-to-point course.
