Notes: 1962 was the inaugural year. The 1972-74 races were run from Schengen GER to Wormeldange LUX; it is assumed
that all previous years followed this course altho the 1966-1971 courses appear to have been less than a half marathon..
From 1975 thru 1999, the course started at Remich and finished at Grevenmacher (net downhill, drop unknown). The
course for 2000 and subsequent years has its start and finish in Remich with its turnaround in Wormeldange. The
1972 course was reported as 21.6 km; the courses for 1962-65 and 1972 are also assumed to have been about 21.6
km. The 1978 course was reported as 20 km. The courses used for the 1966-67, 1969-70, 1973-74, and 1977-78 are considered to have been short or excessively
aided. The races for 1984, 1986-88, 1990-91 and 1996 are considered to have been excessively aided by the net drop
and tail-winds. Refer to the race time bias table for the estimated effects of the course drop and winds. The
first accurate measurement of the course was in 1995.
