Notes: Known as the Kagawa Marathon thru 1960, the Kagawa Road Races
thru 1996 and currently as the Kagawa Marugame International Half-Marathon. The venue was Takamatsu for 1947-1951 and 1953. Both Marugame and Takamatsu are in Kagawa-ken (prefecture).
Race winners are the first finisher. In 1974, Etsuzo Obayashi (JPN) was declared the winner (1:08:19) since the
first finisher Hiroshi Yamaguchi was competing as a guest (open sanka). The race distance for 1947-1960 was a marathon;
for 1961-1970, it was 35 km, and for 1971-1996, it was 20 km. The 2006
race was celebrated as the 60th anniversary and races were held the day before
(February 4th) with the half marathon winners being 1:25:07 Yasuto Ogawa (JPN)
and 1:57:20 Reiko Motoki (JPN) and the 5 km winners being 17:01 Makoto Taketomi
(JPN) and 20:50 Noriko Okuhara (JPN).
