Notes: 1984 was the inaugural year. The course is point-to-point and alternates
between Belfort => Montbéliard and Montbéliard => Belfort.. The 1984
course was probably short. The 1988 course was reported as 20.9 km but was probably shorter still. The 1995 race
was also the IAAF World Championships. The 2001 and 2017 races were apparently excessively wind-aided
in addition to the net drop (362m => 315m).
